Orientation of Mandanas Ruling to the remaining 15 Local Government Units of NCR

To complete the orientation on Mandanas Ruling and Devolution 2 to the remaining LSWDOs of NCR, the Policy Development and Planning Section and Capability Building Section spearheaded the said activity through webinar. Said orientation is a proactive move of the field office to orientation all LGUs with regards to the upcoming Devolution 2 in 2022.

Highlights of discussions focused on the following:

  1. Mandanas Ruling

  2. Presentation of TARA Guidelines

  3. Personnel Complement of Social Welfare Services to be Devolved

  4. LSWDO Mapping Tool

  5. Result of Competency Need Assessment (CNA)

  6. Training Menu of DSWD-NCR

  7. Learning Development Plan for CY 2021

Present during the activity are from the different Department Heads of LGUs, members of the Regional Technical Working Group, TARA Focal Person and LGU Coordinators of FO-NCR.

Orientation of Mandanas Ruling with City Social Welfare Development Office of Valenzuela City

In response to the request of City of Valenzuela, the FO-NCR Team conducted orientation to CSWDO Valenzuela with regard to the Mandanas Ruling and the Devolution 2.

Present during the orientation are the different Department Heads of Valenzuela City with the LGOO of DILG. The team of FO-NCR were headed by OIC-ARDA Manuela Ma. Loza and OIC-ARDO Edna J. Sacedor.

Technical Assistance Session with Social Services and Development Department - Quezon City

In relation to the continues provision of technical assistance to partner LGUs, team NCR leaded by the OIC-ARDA Loza and OIC-ARDO Sacedor conducted technical assistance session to SSDD-QC. Said activity was participated-in by the SSDD Division Heads leaded by Ms. Fe. P. Macale, City Gov't. Head III of Quezon City.

Highlights of the activity focused on the following topics:

Preparatory Meeting re: Implementation of Mandanas Ruling

11 February 2021

Said meeting was initiated by the Policy Development and Planning Section and Capability Building Section of DSWD-NCR in relation to the activities to be undertaken of the Field Office in relation to implementation of Mandanas Ruling by FY 2022 in the National Capital Region.

Output of the activity was considered in the recalibrated Regional Technical Assistance and Resource Augmentation of the DSWD-NCR for FY 2021-2022.

Meeting with Makati Social Welfare Department

Highlights of the meeting was the discussion of Service Delivery Assessment Result, technical assistance request of Makati Social Welfare Department along with the Organizational Development and Program Management.

Said meeting was attended by OIC-ARDO J. Sacedor, Ms. Trisha Mae F. Pecson, Section Head of CBS, Ms. Eden Llamanzares, LGU Coordinator of Makati City, Ms. Benita C. Tanyag, Acting City Gov't. Assistant Dept. Head II of MDSW, Mr. Fernando Salamante, SWO II, MDSW and staff from Policy Development and Planning Section of DSWD-NCR.
